run

Mia smooth down the tiny creases on her summer dress and glance at herself in the mirror one last time. Seeing that she looked decent, she picked up her handbag from the bed and left the apartment.

Five months ago, her boyfriend of three years, Danny, proposed to her.

And now, in less then three months time, it'll be her big day. She has picked the dress, ordered the flowers, booked the chapel and even their honeymoon hotel. Today, she was going to her best friend's bakery for a cake testing session with Danny.

As she sat down with her boyfriend, the waiters served them. Every cake Mia tasted was better than the one before it.

Mia looked at her boyfriend, admiring every move he made. He was perfect. She had stumbled upon many guys before this, each treating her with ultimate care. The first one loved her, but was much too afraid of the world. The second one thought she was the one and only, at the same time, couldn't let her off his side. The rest were the same as Mia tried to find Mr. Right.

Then came along Danny.

She thought about all those times, they were exactly like the cakes. The next one better than the one before, each boyfriend thought her more and more about finding the right guy. At the end, he's the perfect one, the one that you didn't expect to be the one.

Because Mia didn't think that Vanilla Love would be the perfect cake for her wedding too.

There's so much to learn before reaching your goal. All the hardships and challenges are plain lessons to carry on in life. It's a matter of whether you know how to interpret them and accept them or not.
